其实，Excel是一个功能非常强大的数据处理系统，决不只是一个拿来画个表格的表格绘制工具。如果真正掌握了Excel的所有功能，你会发现，很多重复的，烦闷的数据处理过程，会变得非常美妙，你只需点点或拖拖鼠标，然后靠在椅背上啜口咖啡，本来会忙得你晕天黑地的任务己让系统帮你处理好了。这时，看着仍忙得一塌湖涂的同事，你只有一个感觉：酷…… 

Excel是个人电脑普及以来用途最广泛的办公软件之一，也是Microsoft Windows平台下最成功的应用软件之一。说它是普通的软件可能已经不足以形容它的威力，事实上，在很多公司，Excel已经完全成为了一种生产工具，在各个部门的核心工作中发挥着重要的作用。无论用户身处哪个行业、所在公司有没有实施信息系统，只要需要和数据打交道，Excel几乎是不二的选择。在实际应用中，它小到可以充当一般的计算器，或者记算个人收支情况，计算贷款或储蓄等等；大到可以进行专业的科学统计运算，以及通过对大量数据的计算分析，为公司政策的制定，提供有效的参考。

后来，我进入安省酒类专控局任职高级供应链分析员。在面试中，我很自信地说我的Excel技能达到高级水平，Access达到中级水平--因为我有使用vlookup, sumif, if, pivotable 等功能，也有使用处理超级大量的数据。可工作两三个月后，我才羞愧地发现自己的水平在其他同事面前只是小儿科，他们除了比我懂的更多，更可以将这些功能组合在一起，建立复杂的模型，做复杂的分析，轻轻松松完成超大量的数据分析，解决工作中很难解的问题。这时我才知道，我只是井底之蛙，我所看到的天空只有那么大，再回想雀巢的高级分析员向我展示的技巧，我才明白原来高手是这样用Excel的。于是我虚心向同事请教，同时花大量时间去探索别的一些高级功能，不断尝试组合运用它们去解决工作中的问题。几年下来，我发现我的同事开始向我请教一些Excel的巧妙用法。

环顾四周我的同事和朋友，没有人不会用Excel的。但是他们之中绝大部分人只用了Excel里最简单的功能。很多可以用五分钟解决的工作，他们要用一两个小时；一些45分钟就可以完成的事，他们要用一整天。我的一位好朋友在Mississauga一家知名大型公司工作，每天都需要跟Excel打交道，最近这一年多经常向我咨询Excel问题。过去他除了用Excel做加减乘除求和外，别的什么公式都没有用过。现在他vlookup, sumif, if, pivotable 等都用得很溜，虽然他还不会组合运用公式进行复杂分析，却已经是他部门里Excel最强的人了。这一年里他的职位从coordinator升到planner，年薪也升了一万元。

I am a Financial Analyst, and use Excel to complete the financial reports and business analyses. But I was not me at the beginning; I had a hard time to complete the job due to the limitation of my Excel skill. Super Excel course saved me on the job, and extended my opportunity to move on. As to our instructor, uh…a gentleman, a friend, an experienced professional. I could not believe my eyes when I saw him building an Excel model and playing with hundreds of functions just by using keyboard. That was so impressive! Also, he personally designed the course that got me thinking about what Excel can actually do to help me in my job, and how I would use it in a timely and efficient manner. I am an accountant, and I use Excel every day. Before I took this course, I thought my Excel skills were good. At least I had no problems doing some simple analyses assigned by my manager. That being said, I am a kind of person who always wants to learn new things. I would like to know more advanced features in Excel. A friend recommended this Super Excel course to me. At first, I took a trial class. It was the last class of the previous term.  They were practicing a complicated real case. To be honest, I only understood maybe 50%. I felt a little disappointed. However, that’s also my drive to take this course. The instructor is a great teacher. He is very friendly and very patient in answering students’ questions. Most importantly, he is very skillful in using Excel and Access. I learned many advanced functions that I had never thought of before. Also, the shortcuts he taught are so convenient to use. Because the instructor uses real case to teach, it’s easier for us to transfer this skill to the real work. He encouraged students to ask him any problems they incurred at work related to Excel and tried to solve them. I can perform my tasks at work more efficient and faster now. The Super Excel course is very helpful. In the past I have tried many ways to improve my Excel skills, including studying by myself, and looking for help, but they did not work so well. When I found this course, I felt so happy, and could not wait for that term to finish, so I can join the next term.

Though I still have a long way to go to polish my Excel skills, at least I have gained confidence to deal with senior level analysis work, with the help from the very knowledgeable and patient instructor.
